Trip to Tucson Arizona September 2005

If I could sum up my trip to Tucson Arizona...Go now and go often!
This place is a road cyclists dream world. Forget all the other cities
in America that claim to be cycling friendly and have varying terrain.
Tucson has it all. Every street has a bike lane! There are more road riders
on the streets before 9am each day than what you would see in New Jersey in
3 weekends.
The terrain can range from flat to hilly to truly mountainous
all with 5-10 miles. It is no coincidence Lance Armstrong trained
here last December and lots of pro's call this place home.
If you go, there are a few tips...bring the sunscreen,
drink more water than you think you need and watch get off
the road by 10am each day. The heat is tough!
