Bidding for a Custom Ride with NJRC Co-Founders
Those attending the silent auction portion of the Friends
of the Princeton Public Library Benefit on Friday, Oct. 28
at 7:45 p.m. will have the chance to bid on a customized ride
with two or more New Jersey Road Club co-founders. The package
includes two cycling jerseys from Kopp's Cycle (the nation's oldest bike shop),
a route designed specifically to suit the interests and
abilities of the successful bidders, customized cue sheets
and holder and a post-ride lunch at the library's Open Book
Café. All proceeds benefit Princeton Public Library. The benefit
features at 6:30 p.m. talk by acclaimed author Russell Banks
("Afflication," "The Sweet Hereafter"), introduced by Nobel
laureate and Oprah Winfrey fave Toni Morrison, at Nassau
Presbyterian Church, 61 Nassau St., Princeton. The talk will
be followed by dinner and the silent auction at the library,
